A fire broke out in an electric duct on the 10th floor of a residential high-rise in Thane West early Tuesday, leaving two residents injured and prompting the evacuation of dozens of people, officials said.
According to the Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), the incident was reported at around 4.14 am at Milan Hill Building, a ground-plus-18-storey structure located in Shastri Nagar. The information was initially relayed to civic authorities by a journalist.
