The Thane civic body on Thursday issued a Diwali 2025 safety advisory and urged citizens to celebrate the festival responsibly.

An official statement, issued by the Thane Municipal Corporation, said as air quality in Maharashtra's Thane falls under the "moderate" category, only green (eco-friendly) firecrackers are permitted within the city, in line with the orders of the National Green Tribunal.
