CSMT redevelopment: Central Railway extends block till June 13; several trains to be short terminated, check details

The block had originally begun on February 1, 2026 and was initially scheduled to continue until April 26. It was later extended till May 19 and has now been further extended until June 13

Central Railway has extended the ongoing Traffic and Power Block at Platforms 16 and 17 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) till June 13, 2026 as part of the station’s redevelopment project.

An official statement said that the redevelopment work is being carried out by the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA). Railway officials said the block is necessary to complete foundation work and other important infrastructure activities at the affected platforms.
