Central Railway’s (CR) Mumbai Division will operate special traffic and power blocks for pre-non-interlocking (NI) and non-interlocking works at the Lonavala-BVT Yard as part of remodelling and extension of R&D lines on the Kalyan–Lonavala section. The pre-NI block will be in force on December 7 (Sunday), followed by post-NI blocks on December 8 (Monday) and December 10 (Wednesday).

The works include extension of three R&D lines in the DOWN yard, five R&D lines in the UP yard, and provision of one additional line. As a result, the running of Mail and Express trains, as well as Pune–Lonavala suburban services, will be affected during this period.
