Mumbaikars can order steamed and fried modaks prepared by women’s self-help groups during Ganeshotsav 2026, under 'BMC Modak Mahotsav 2026'. 

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is organising the initiative to make modaks prepared by the civic body-backed women’s self-help groups available to citizens during the Ganeshotsav period.
