Mumbai: BMC holds Sion flyover reconstruction review meeting, sets May 2026 deadline for its completion

During the meeting, it was decided that BMC will coordinate closely with the railway department to ensure timely completion while minimising inconvenience to citizens

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday held Sion flyover reconstruction review meeting and said that it has set May, 2026 deadline for its completion, officials said.

They said that the top civic officials directed that the reconstruction work of the Sion railway flyover be completed by May 31, 2026. The instructions were issued by Additional Municipal Commissioner (Projects) Abhijit Bangar during the review meeting, which was also attended by Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic),  Anil Kumbhare.
