On the eve of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Election 2026, the distribution of ballot boxes and polling-related material was completed across the city on Wednesday, marking the final stage of pre-poll preparations. Voting will be held on Thursday, January 15, with the counting of votes scheduled for the next day.

The civic administration and election machinery have completed all the arrangements to ensure that the polling process is conducted smoothly, transparently, and peacefully. On Wednesday, January 14, ballot boxes and election materials were distributed in an orderly manner at various divisional centres across the city. A large number of polling officers, staff and support personnel reported for duty from early morning.
