Federation of Indian Pilots (FIP) President Captain CS Randhawa, on the eve of the first anniversary of the Air India (AI-171) crash tragedy, held a press conference in Ahmedabad, addressing the issues that have risen over the last year since the preliminary report (PI) was published on July 12, 2025.

Randhawa said that the preliminary report by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has led to speculation about pilot error and said that it was not the right way for investigation. He further reiterated his demand for a judicial probe into the incident that claimed the lives of 260 people.
