11-year-old among those detained during Chaityabhoomi protest in Mumbai

An 11-year-old boy was among those detained during Monday's protest at Chaityabhoomi in Mumbai's Dadar. His mother alleged that the family was taken to Worli police station after refusing to leave the protest site and claimed the child was traumatised after witnessing his father being detained. Police have not yet responded to the allegations.

An 11-year-old boy was among those detained during Monday's protest at Chaityabhoomi, where Mumbai Police rounded up dozens of demonstrators ahead of what they described as an unauthorised gathering.

His mother, Sandhya Panaskar, alleged that she, her husband, and their son were detained and taken to Worli police station after refusing to leave the protest site. She claimed the child was left shaken after witnessing police drag his father away.
