<p>A 10-year-old girl was killed in a <strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/photo/in-photos-mumbai-fire-brigade-display-their-fire-fighting-equipment-104950/1" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">fire </a></strong>reported from Mankhurd&rsquo;s Janta Nagar area on Monday evening.</p>
<p>According to the <strong><a href="https://mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-fire-brigades-new-training-centre-to-prep-firemen-for-blasts-quakes-and-high-rise-rescues-23522454" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), t</a></strong>he blaze was reported behind the Hanuman Temple at 8.20 pm. The firefighters managed to douse the blaze by 8.39 pm, officials said.</p>
<p>Apart from MFB, the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-police-stations-go-online-to-assist-citizens-better-23515196" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>local police</strong></a>, ambulance services, and ward staff, were also mobilised to the spot.</p>
<p>According to Dr Amish from Shatabdi Hospital, <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-we-are-not-kachra-say-deonar-govandi-residents-23515884" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>Govandi</strong></a>, two people were reported injured. One of them, Khushi Khan, was declared dead upon arrival.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, 25-year-old Farah Khan has sustained 70 per cent burn injuries and is currently in critical condition.</p>
<p>Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.</p>
