Mumbai Police crack multi-state MBBS admission scam, arrest 51-year-old from Agripada

Mumbai Police have arrested a 51-year-old alleged fraudster accused of duping people by promising MBBS admissions in medical colleges. The accused, who was wanted in 18 to 20 cheating cases across five states and had been absconding for over a decade

The Sir JJ Marg Police in Mumbai have arrested a 51-year-old alleged fraudster who was wanted in multiple cheating cases across five states and had been absconding for over a decade, the police said in a press release on Sunday.
The accused, identified as Abid Yusuf Ansari, was arrested in connection with a case registered at Sir JJ Marg Police Station in 2024 for allegedly cheating a 53-year-old complainant of Rs 42 lakh on the promise of securing MBBS admission for his son at a medical college in Thane.
