Mumbai: Two sneak into Marol’s NSG hub to steal construction material, busted

Two men who allegedly entered the National Security Guard’s (NSG) regional hub in Marol, Andheri and attempted to steal construction material on Tuesday night were chased down and apprehended by NSG commandos before being handed over to the Powai police station, where an FIR was filed against them. The duo, Shamim Salim Sheikh, 33, and Suraj Garjan Yadav, 18, was arrested.
According to the police, Bijender Singh, an assistant commander posted at the camp, was patrolling the premises along with Ranger Dattatraya Satpute. Around 11 pm, they noticed two suspicious individuals near a newly constructed officers’ housing project located opposite the officers’ mess.
