Mumbai Crime Branch's Unit 10 on Wednesday, June 24, arrested a 39-year-old man for allegedly attempting to sell an ivory statue worth Rs 15 lakh in Goregaon East. The officials also seized the prohibited wildlife article during a planned operation conducted in coordination with Forest Department officials.

As per the officials, the accused, identified as Ayaz Ayub Charoliya, a resident of Malad East, was apprehended near Gogtewadi Sumitra Mandal School at Cross Road in Goregaon East on June 24 at around 2.50 pm.
