CCTV trail leads police to tempo driver in Maharashtra's Pune hit-and-run case

After 73-year-old Asha Patil was killed in a hit-and-run while on her morning walk in Pune on Saturday, January 24, the Chaturshringhi police arrested the tempo driver involved after tracking the vehicle through CCTV footage.

The accused has been identified as Siddharth Sarang Gaikwad, 22, a tempo driver. He was traced after police followed CCTV visuals of a tempo fleeing the spot and gathered local intelligence from cattle shed owners in the Sus area.
