Soon after Fairmont Hotel opened its doors, adjacent to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in April, Roswyn &mdash; Ennismore&rsquo;s first Morgans Originals &mdash; rolled out the carpet on the same premise in May. Each Roswyn around the world is one-of-its-kind. The Mumbai chapter was designed by Paris-based designer Daphn&eacute; Desjeux, inspired by city life to accommodate work meetings, late dinners and longer stays.

We swung by two F&amp;B spots at the address on the same night. The first, Black Lacquer, is a Japanese listening bar. The space is done up in textures of black, interrupted by gold. Intimate sofa corners, lounge rooms and private sections promise an intimate experience. The bar sports a pop of colour with frames of jazz musicians, and a vinyl set adding an analogue, slow-mo vibe. Here, the menu is tight, with a focus on Japanese spirits.

Try the Crimson Static (Rs 1400); it has a stiff aged whisky, dry vermouth, a sweet cherry liquor, and tinge of chocolate bitters. The Ume Signal (Rs 1400) is a martini style vodka, with sweet umeshu, vermouth, ginger and orange bitters. We try the small plates from the elevated Japanese and Nikkei menus. Tuna Nikkei (Rs 1850) has deep red meat of the tuna, Peruvian salsa, a creamy leche de tigre, avocado and jalapeno. The Usuzukuri Asparagus (Rs 1150) celebrates fresh Peruvian white asparagus on a grill, breathes smoke and is served with yuzu leche de tigre and quinoa pops.

Our big plan is reserved for the Italian restaurant, Fi&rsquo;lia, a sister concern of the Dubai outpost that holds the Michelin Bib. The space is dressed in warm matcha green, with floral and lemon patterns, promising a community-style dining experience.&nbsp;
We begin with Neapolitan-style pizzas opting for the OG Margherita (Rs 1250), served with fresh basil and mozzarella. We know we are in pizza heaven when chewy bites melt in the mouth. Diavola (Rs 1775), is delish, with juicy bites of fennel pork sausage and spicy pork salami with the hit of chilli flakes.

The pasta pick, Campanelle Al Pesto Pasta (Rs 1250) is made with twisted pasta, spinach, potato, and roasted pine nuts. The pesto is a tad salty. So, we turn our attention to the creamy Risotto Al funghi (Rs 1425) made with porcini stock and wild mushrooms in brown butter. The Gamberi Alla Griflia (Rs 2250) includes succulent tiger prawns grilled over coals, and drizzled with lemon and served with a garlic aioli. This dish is an ode to the fresh flavours of the sea.

The Insalata Di Fi&rsquo;lia (Rs 475) packs in greens with baby arugula, aged parmesan and truffle dressing, and helps us keep enough room for our last indulgence &mdash; the classic Fi&rsquo;liamisu (Rs 825). We also indulge with the playful Annoli e affogato, a serving of cigars of crispy hazelnut cannoli (Rs 825). The nutty, chilled fillings end our meal on a sweet-happy note. Take our recco, and don&rsquo;t leave without sipping on the Martini with Limoncello. Grazie!&nbsp;
