Conservation is not simply about drawing boundaries around forests, protecting wildlife or keeping human activity at bay. It is also about recognising the people who have lived alongside these landscapes for generations, understand their rhythms and depend on them for their livelihoods. The newest episode of Imagine India, titled Ecosystem Stewardship - Where People, Nature and Communities Meet, takes a closer look at this relationship.

Hosted by Shannon Olsson and produced by the echo network, the 10th episode of the podcast’s fifth season brings together Dr Rajkamal Goswami, Anushka Gurung and Dr Kiril Manevski.
