Nissim Ezekiel and Mario de Miranda. Two icons, whose legacies in the literary and creative worlds continue to impact our lives. Both had a deep connect with Mumbai, as the city influenced their works. Their oeuvres will be discussed at Mumbai Icons, a series of two sessions over two days, organised by the Nehru Centre Library, Worli.

On day one, professor of architecture, poet and author, Mustansir Dalvi and poet, author and editor, Urna Bose will dive into Nissim Ezekiel’s literary universe, while on September 4, editor and publisher, Farzana Contractor, and adman and theatre professional, Rahul da Cunha will shine a light on the creative genius of Mario de Miranda, and his impact on their worlds.
