Elle was always herself

When I watched Legally Blonde (2001) in my thirties, Elle Woods, played by Reese Witherspoon, was always far more than a fashion icon. What made her memorable wasn’t just the pink wardrobe or the glamorous styling — it was the fact that she remained unapologetically feminine while proving she was every bit as intelligent and capable as anyone else.

With fashion, pink has always been her signature. But it isn’t just about the colour. It represents confidence, individuality and a willingness to embrace femininity without treating it as a weakness. I don’t think she should tone that down to suit changing trends or appeal to everyone. The whole point of Elle’s character is that she never apologised for being herself.
