Teen Stitchers’ Summer Club offers young makers between 13 and 17 years a chance to craft a unique something. Over five consecutive weekday sessions, teenagers will learn skills to create a laptop bag. They will be introduced to fabric selection, quilting, patchwork, zipper application, pocket construction and finishing techniques using Usha Janome sewing machines. This project offers to encourage teens to create an accessory that reflects their personality through carefully chosen fabrics and customised details. Participants can add their name, initials or a meaningful word to make the piece uniquely their own.
