For anyone in India familiar with cinema, Satyajit Ray is a Renaissance Man. For the late Nemai Ghosh (right), he was a friend, collaborator, and subject. From their first project, Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne (1968) till Ray’s passing in 1992, Ghosh not only trained his lenses for the auteur’s films, but upon Ray himself. Faces and Facets: Satyajit Ray in Colour captures these revealing and rare moments.
