For anyone in India familiar with cinema, Satyajit Ray is a Renaissance Man. For the late Nemai Ghosh (right), he was a friend, collaborator, and subject. From their first project, Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne (1968) till Ray’s passing in 1992, Ghosh not only trained his lenses for the auteur’s films, but upon Ray himself.
