On 11th July 2006, seven blasts took place within a span of 11 minutes in seven different local trains on the Western Railway line in Mumbai, bringing the urban transportation system of the city to a grinding halt. The 2006 Mumbai Train bombings tested the resilience of the city’s commuter train network.
