There is a long-standing, quiet compromise embedded in the DNA of older generations. Raised on the adages of "adjusting," keeping the peace, and suppressing discomfort to maintain social harmony, Millennials, Gen X, and Boomers have often operated under the heavy shadow of a singular, lingering anxiety: "Log kya kahenge?" (What will people say?).
Yet, as the youth-led movements have shown, India's youngest citizens are rewriting the playbook on conflict, community, and civic duty. Across the country, Gen-Z is demonstrating that true harmony doesn't come from silent endurance, but from radical accountability, uncompromising boundaries, and an unyielding sense of self.
