Actor Jitendra Kumar is basking in the success of the record-breaking season of his latest show, Panchayat 4. The fourth instalment, which was released on June 24, 2025, has been received well by the audience. Best known for its locally rooted theme, the show has been making headlines lately over the 'deleted' kissing scene with the lead actress and his love interest in the show, Sanvikaa. Notably, in an earlier interview, Sanvikaa had stated that she was not comfortable doing the scenes. However, now, Jitendra has now clarified that her statement was taken out of context.

Jitendra Kumar opens up about the kissing scene

In a recent interview with NDTV, Jitendra revealed, "I think Sanvikaa’s comment was taken out of context. When the scene was proposed, I told the makers to ask her first. Her consent was essential. We wanted to make the scene awkwardly funny -- like they’re about to kiss, and the light goes off. But eventually, it was shot differently."
