Aneet Padda is set to follow up her breakthrough in Saiyaara with a very different outing. The actor stars in JioHotstar’s upcoming series Hunkkaar: The Roar, which revolves around a teenager’s accusation against a powerful cult leader and the investigation that follows.

The trailer introduces Padda as Meenu Rawat, a 17-year-old who finds herself at the centre of a case involving Sunil Chakosi, popularly known as ‘Baapji’. What begins with Meenu speaking up against the influential figure soon snowballs into a larger battle involving the police, courtroom and media. The plotline is inspired by controversial Hindu spiritual leader.
