Actor Amruta Khanvilkar, who was last seen in Taskaree, recently made headlines after reports of trouble in paradise with her husband, Himanshu Malhotra, began going the rounds. Now her legal team has warned of legal action against the spread of 'defamatory and baseless' rumours about her personal life. The warning comes via an official legal statement shared by the actor and her actor husband, Himanshu Malhotra.

The statement was shared through a joint post by Amruta and Himanshu. It stated that certain online, social media and digital platforms were circulating content concerning Khanvilkar and her personal life that was "baseless, defamatory and/or in violation of her privacy."
