The actress faced massive backlash for her statement. However, the matter has now been escalated as the All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has called for a fair probe. The film body ever urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to intervene in the matter.

AICWA opens up about Shilpa Shinde's revelation

The AICWA issued a statement on Friday, June 5, stating that Shilpa's admission on Bharti and Haarsh's podcast about making false sexual harassment allegations against Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain producer Sanjay Kohli is "a matter of serious concern for the entire Bollywood film and television industry."
