Days after the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, TVK chief Vijay was seen visiting holy shrines to seek blessings ahead of the exit polls. After visiting the Subramanya Swamy Temple and the Sai Baba Temple, he was expected to visit the Lady of Good Health in Tamil Nadu’s Velankanni. Vijay’s fans posted themselves near the church’s entrance in the hope of getting a glimpse of the former actor. However, he didn’t turn up.

On Saturday, Vijay was scheduled to visit the Annai Velankanni Shrine and the Nagore Dargah, but his plans were called off for undisclosed reasons. The sudden change left fans confused, many of whom had already gathered in large numbers. The crowd swelled to a point where church officials reportedly struggled to manage entry and open the doors smoothly. Even after it was confirmed that Vijay would not be attending, people continued to wait at the venue for hours.
