Tamil Nadu CM Vijay and Trisha's 2005 film Thirupaachi was all set to re-release in theatres on October 1, 2026. However, the re-release would clash with Vijay's son, Jason Sanjay's directorial debut Sigma, which is scheduled to release on October 2. Amid the perceived clash, the re-release of  Thirupaachi has now been postponed.

 Thirupaachi re-release postponed

Thirupathi Pictures took to X on September 15 to announce the decision. The production company issued a statement saying they had decided to step back to make way for upcoming films.
