Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups hit theatres on Wednesday night amid much fanfare and excitement. On its day one, the film minted over Rs 101 crore at the India box office, surpassing the opening-day record of Ranveer Singh, Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Given its impressive start, trade analysts had expectations that the film would shatter several box-office records. However, Toxic registered a massive decline in collections on its second day and continued to witness a drop in its daily earnings since then.

According to trade tracking portal Sacnilk, Toxic had minted a net Rs 23 crore in India on day 5. With this, the film's total India net collection has reached Rs 214.10 crore, and total India gross collection stands at Rs 255.95 crore. On Sunday, the film recorded its lowest collection so far and has continued to see a dip since its massive opening.
