Telugu actor Ram Pothineni is set to step behind the camera with RAPO23, an intense psychological thriller that will also see Riteish Deshmukh make his debut in the Telugu film industry. The Bollywood actor began filming for the project in Hyderabad on Monday, October 19, with the makers sharing a video welcoming him on board.

The film will feature Deshmukh in a menacing antagonist role, a space he has explored successfully in Hindi cinema. Known largely for his comic performances, the actor has also earned attention for playing dark, unsettling characters on screen.
