Veteran actor, producer and filmmaker Mohan Sharma has revealed that superstar Rajinikanth stepped in to help him during one of the darkest phases of his life, transferring Rs 1 lakh without being asked. The veteran actor, who once owned a home next to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in Chennai's Poes Garden, says he is now living in an old-age home and struggling to meet his medical expenses.

Speaking in an interview with Trend Talks, Mohan shared that mounting debts, health complications and personal setbacks drastically changed his circumstances. He recalled that superstar Rajinikanth called him after learning about his situation, asked for his bank account details, and transferred Rs 1 lakh the very next day.
