Leaked footage from Jana Nayagan was reportedly broadcast on a local cable channel, prompting supporters of Vijay to take legal action. The actor’s upcoming film had already surfaced online last week ahead of its theatrical release. While the makers initiated legal proceedings to trace those behind the leak, a cable operator in Coimbatore allegedly aired portions of the film. Upset by this, Vijay’s supporters in the region lodged a complaint against the operator for illegally telecasting unreleased content.

A group of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) supporters from Karumathampatti approached the police, urging a detailed probe and strict action against those responsible. Reportedly, the complainant said that the footage was aired on a local channel called ‘Rasi Prime Movie’ on the night of April 11, 2026. The telecast reportedly ran for around 21 minutes after the interval. This has intensified concerns around piracy and unauthorised distribution.
