Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay's final film, Jana Nayagan, has been making headlines for months. After awaiting clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) since January, the film is now rumoured to be releasing worldwide on July 24. Amid this, new reports suggest that the film could arrive in India earlier than the rest of the world to enjoy an extended four-day opening weekend.

While the makers have not yet officially announced the release date of Jana Nayagan in India, the film's UK distributor, Ahimsa Entertainment, earlier confirmed a July 24 overseas release via an X post. Reports now claim that the film may open in Indian theatres on July 23.
