Jailer 2 director Nelson recently revealed that Vidya Balan needed around three takes to get a cigarette-smoking scene with superstar Rajinikanth right in the upcoming film. He recalled how Vidya was nervous while filming the smoking sequence on her very first day on set, especially since the scene required her to blow smoke into the superstar's face.

While speaking at a promotional event, Nelson revealed Vidya was initially worried about playing a character strong enough to stand her ground against Rajinikanth. The scene featured in the Jailer 2 trailer further seemed to test of her confidence.
