Amey Wagh says the biggest reason he signed Frame was the chance to share screen space with filmmaker Nagraj Manjule. The actor adds that he chooses projects based on stories and instincts, not the language or size of the industry

Will I be able to match up to Nagraj Manjule?” That’s the question Amey Wagh asked himself as he joined director Vikram Patwardhan’s Frame. An admirer of Manjule’s directorial ventures, Wagh saw the ZEE5 film as an opportunity to collaborate with him, even if it was as a co-star. “Who isn’t a fan of Nagraj sir? But he casts actors who are closer to the world that he is depicting. So, I never thought I would have a chance to collaborate with him. But life is full of surprises,” he smiled.
Aside from sharing screen space with Manjule, Wagh was excited about headlining the Marathi drama as he believes it “asks questions.” The actor shared, “If it is asking questions and lingering in your mind after you’ve watched it, that’s the kind of cinema I like.”
