Filmmaker Mani Shankar's son was recently arrested in Hyderabad in connection with a road rage case booked against him. His son, Prem Shankar, allegedly obstructed police officials while performing their duty and also assaulted a home guard here, according to the police.

According to news agency PTI, the incident reportedly took place on March 1 when the director's 40-year-old son was driving an electric vehicle. The car got stuck after its battery drained, near a junction on Road No. 2, within the Banjara Hills Police Station limits. The police noted that after the car stopped on the main road, it started causing traffic congestion. A woman constable and a home guard arrived at the scene and attempted to move the vehicle. However, Prem Shankar refused to allow them and pushed aside the home guard.
