Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming film Thalaivar 173, produced by Kamal Haasan, has been creating quite the buzz ever since it was announced. Among the most-awaited Tamil films, it is expected to release next year during Pongal. However, recent reports suggest that the film's release may be delayed. Director Cibi Chakravarthi has allegedly exited the project midway, leaving the team of Thalaivar 173 to search for a new director.

For the unversed, this is not the first instance of the film undergoing a change of director. Earlier, Sundar C was supposed to direct the film, but he too stepped away from the project.
