The Centre on Wednesday, September 16, announced veteran actor Anant Nag as the official recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2024. Amid the honour, the actor shared that he doesn't want to return to acting. He cites deteriorating scripts, poor content, and shifting priorities in Indian cinema as the reasons he wishes to stay away from the screen.

During an exclusive interview with NDTV, the 78-year-old actor clarified that his decision to step away from acting was not related to his health. "There are no health concerns," he said.
