Amala Paul reveals whether she would do a film like Aadai again: 'I don’t think I would do it'

Amala Paul has been a renowned name in the South Industry, the actress recently got candid about whether she would make the same choice with films today the way she used to in her initial days despite being grateful for the opportunities and experience.  At the India Today South Conclave 2026 she recalled how she was skeptical about taking up the 2019 Tamil thriller Aadai which required her to experiment with nudity for multiple scenes in the film.

Amala shared how her biggest concern for the film was how the subject of nudity would be approached in the film and would it be treated as a part of the story, "I needed to trust the director and the cinematographer. My whole thinking was, are these people up for making an aesthetic film where it is emotionally driven or is it about nudity?"
