Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson’s upcoming film Verity is all set to arrive in Indian theatres on Friday, October 2, 2026. Ahead of its theatrical release, the film has been cleared with an ‘A’ certificate after undergoing significant cuts by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Verity gets 23 seconds cut
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the CBFC’s Examining Committee had asked the makers to “suitably modify” intimate visuals and remove explicit portions from the film. This led to 23 seconds of footage being cut from the final film. Notably, much of the deleted footage reportedly comes from the film’s widely discussed intimate sequence, wherein Hathaway and Johnson are seen making out.
