As anticipation builds around Christopher Nolan's upcoming epic The Odyssey, veteran actor Michael Caine has found an unexpected way to be associated with the legendary Greek tale. While the Oscar-winning actor is not part of Nolan's star-studded adaptation, his voice is leading a newly released audiobook version of Homer's classic poem, thanks to artificial intelligence.

The audiobook has been created by AI audio company ElevenLabs, which used a licensed AI replica of Caine's voice to narrate the 13-hour production. The project combines AI-generated narration with a full cast, original music and sound effects, and is being released for free.
