Disney's ABC has reportedly taken Jimmy Kimmel's late-night talk show off air "indefinitely". The decision comes following heavy backlash over the host's comments about the motives behind the killing of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead during a student interaction at Utah Valley University.

According to Variety, Nexstar said that its "owned and partner television stations affiliated with the ABC Television Network will preempt airings of Jimmy Kimmel Live! for the foreseeable future."
