Hollywood star George Clooney, wife Amal Clooney and their two children have been forced to evacuate their home in Brignoles, southeastern France as devastating wildfires continue to spread across the country.

According to USA Today, in a letter to the mayor, George said the family did not know whether their home would survive the blaze. “At this point we have no idea whether our beautiful home makes it through this terrible moment. We hope you and the people of our city are safe. Amal and I are committed to making sure that whatever happens to our village, we are part of this community and we’ll be part of making it whole.”
