British heavy-metal icon Ozzy Osbourne has passed away in the UK. Best known for his dark stage persona and as iconic role as lead singer of Black Sabbath, Ozzy leaves behind a legacy in metal music that will be long remembered. Notably, the singer died on Tuesday at the age of 76, just weeks after he performed his farewell show.

Ozzy had been struggling with health issues in recent years. In 2020, he revealed he was suffering from Parkinson's disease, which he revealed in 2020. Confirming the news of the legend's passing away, his family issued a statement, which read, "It is with more sadness than words can express that we share the news of Ozzy Osbourne's passing this morning. He was surrounded by his family and love. We request privacy during this difficult time."
