Anne Hathaway has broken her silence after a video of her directing photographers at the New York premiere of her latest film, Verity, went viral on the internet. The actor reacted to the clip, calling it “the stuff of nightmares", and explaining what exactly happened.

The now-viral moment unfolded at Tuesday’s premiere of Verity in New York, where Hathaway stood at the red carpet between co-stars Dakota Johnson and Ismael Cruz Cordova. In the video, she is seen instructing photographers on where the cast would look.
