Malaika Arora and her family hosted a prayer meet for late stepfather Anil Mehta.

Malaika's stepfather allegedly died by suicide on September 11.

The reality TV personality and former VJ took to Instagram and shared the news of her father's demise, asking for privacy from fans and media during this difficult time.

Several members of the film industry attended the prayer meet, which was held at a Gurudwara.

Malaika’s parents divorced when she was 11 years old, and she moved to Chembur with her mother and sister Amrita Arora.

Malaika's son Arhaan Khan was spotted at the prayer meet with other family members. 

Malaika's ex-boyfriend and actor Arjun Kapoor, who was by her side since Mehta died was also seen at the prayer meet. 

Malaika's best friend and Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan marked her presence. 

Hrithik Roshan's ex-wife Sussanne Khan was also in attendance.
