Asha Bhosle's mortal remains were taken to her home in Lower Parel from Breach Candy Hospital on Sunday afternoon.

Her remains arrived at her residence, Casa Grande, Lower Parel, at around 5 PM on Sunday, April 12, 2026.

The legendary singer was admitted to the hospital on Saturday, April 11, after complaining of extreme exhaustion and respiratory issues.

Her granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, confirmed the news, clarifying that the singer suffered a chest infection and extreme exhaustion. She remained to be in a critical state. 

Asha Bhosle breathed her last on Sunday afternoon, April 12, 2026 at the hospital where she was being treated.

 She died on Sunday afternoon due to multiple organ failure, family sources said. 

Her mortal remains will be kept for viewing at her residence on Monday at 11 am, where people can pay heir last respects. 

Later, her last rites will take place at Mumbai's Shivaji Park on Monday, April 13, 2026.

The singer will be cremated as per Hindu rituals with full state honours.
