Indira Krishnan as Kaushalya

Kaushalya, the eldest queen of King Dasharatha and the mother of Lord Ram, is revered for her grace, wisdom and unwavering faith in dharma.

Shobana as Kaikasi

Shobana portrays Kaikasi, the mother of Ravana, Kumbhakarna, Vibhishana and Surpanakha. As the queen of Lanka and wife of sage Vishrava, she is the matriarch of one of the most powerful families in the Ramayana.

Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi

Lara Dutta essays the role of Queen Kaikeyi, King Dasharatha's youngest queen and Bharat's mother, whose demand for two boons changes the course of the Ramayana. Influenced by Manthara, she sends Lord Ram into 14 years of exile and secures the throne for Bharat.

Sonal Jha as Sumitra

Sonal Jha portrays Queen Sumitra, the gentle and wise mother of Lakshman and Shatrughna in Ramayana. 

Jatayu

Jatayu is the noble vulture king and a loyal friend of King Dasharatha in the Ramayana. Though mortally wounded in the battle, Jatayu informs Lord Ram of Sita's abduction before breathing his last. The voice over for this character is done by Anupam Kher.

Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha

Rakul Preet Singh essays the role of Surpanakha, Ravana's sister, whose rejection by Lord Ram and Lakshman's punishment become the turning point of the Ramayana. Her actions ultimately trigger the chain of events that leads to Sita's abduction and the war in Lanka.

Adinath Kothare as Bharat and Nitesh Sharma as Shatrughan

Adinath Kothare plays Bharat, the noble and selfless younger brother of Lord Ram, whose unwavering devotion is reflected in his refusal to accept the throne during Ram's exile, choosing instead to rule Ayodhya in his brother's name. Nitesh Sharma essays the role of Shatrughan, the youngest of the four brothers, known for his loyalty to Bharat.

Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjihva (Vidyujjihva)

Vidyutjihva, Surpanakha's husband and a valiant demon warrior, belonged to the powerful Kalakeya clan. His death became a turning point in Surpanakha's life, influencing her actions in the Ramayana.

Saurabh Sachdeva as Maricha (Mareech)

Maricha is a powerful demon and Ravana's uncle who plays a crucial role in Sita's abduction. At Ravana's command, he disguises himself as the enchanting golden deer to lure Lord Ram away from the forest hut.

Faisal Malik as Kumbhkarna

Kumbhkarna, Ravana's gigantic younger brother, is one of the mightiest warriors in the Ramayana. Cursed to remain asleep for months at a time, he is awakened during the Lanka war to defend his kingdom. 

Sheeba Chadha as Manthara 

Manthara plays the pivotal catalyst in the Ramayana. By manipulating Queen Kaikeyi into demanding Lord Ram's 14-year exile and Bharata's coronation, she sets in motion the chain of events that ultimately leads to Ram's battle with Ravana.
