Vishal Bhardwaj's directorial O'Romeo was released in theatres on February 13. The film reunited him with Shahid Kapoor. The movie, based on true events, also stars Triptii Dimri and Avinash Tiwary, with special appearances by Tamannaah Bhatia and Vikrant Massey. However, fans who watched the film in theatres were curious about Aamir Khan being thanked in the opening credits of the film. He was, however, not seen in the film. So what was his contribution to O'Romeo? Vishal Bhardwaj has opened up about the same.

Talking to Bollywood Hungama, Vishal Bhardwaj said, “Aamir wanted to hear the script of O'Romeo. And when he heard it, he gave me this idea that someone should be killed at a crucial point in the film.”
