The Voice of Hind Rajab, the docudrama based on the tragic true story of six-year-old Palestinian girl Hind Rajab, continues to find audiences beyond conventional box-office territories. After collecting close to Rs 10 lakh from its limited screenings in India, and registering a reasonably strong opening weekend, the film is now set to expand its reach across South and West Asia.

Distributor Manoj Nandwana confirms that discussions are underway for releases in other Asian countries. “The response has surprised us. We are currently in talks for releases in Maldives, Nepal and Bhutan, and at the same time, we’re getting calls from Afghanistan. People there have heard about the film, and want to see it. Since there aren’t conventional cinema chains operating in many places, some groups have told us they are willing to create makeshift screening spaces and community theatres to showcase the film,” says Nandwana.
